THE CHALLENGE

Our client, a leading technology and security group in France, recognized the urgent need to enhance its data management and information visualization capabilities to support its comprehensive digital transformation. To build a solid and flexible data foundation, the client approached IMT Solutions to design and implement a data management, analysis, and reporting system that is suitable for its current scale of operations and future development orientation.

Specific challenges include:

Building a data warehouse that can integrate data from multiple sources, including XML.
Developing custom reporting services to meet the complex analytical needs of internal departments.
Ensuring that the system is high-performance and adheres to strict security standards.
Implementing BI (Business Intelligence) tools to visualize data and support strategic decision making.

DATA REPORTING SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Customers expect to own a comprehensive data management platform – from collecting, processing, analyzing, to displaying information. To serve regular and ad hoc reporting needs. The system needs to ensure scalability, flexibility, and the ability to easily integrate new technologies in the future, such as AI or real-time data analysis.

OUR APPROACH

IMT Solutions implemented the project in two phases lasting a total of 10 months, with a team of highly skilled engineers from Vietnam working directly with the team in Hong Kong. This cooperation model helps optimize both operational efficiency and implementation costs, while flexibly responding to changing requirements throughout the implementation process.

Phase 1: Design and deploy data platform (6 months)
- Requirements analysis & Current system survey: IMT engineers and analysts worked closely with the customer’s functional departments to understand the needs and characteristics of data processing.
- Data warehouse architecture design: The system was built with a modern architecture, optimized for big data processing and fast queries.
- Building data models and implementing ETL: Using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), data from multiple sources, including XML, is extracted, transformed, and loaded into the system efficiently, ensuring integrity and consistency.
Phase 2: Developing reports and BI tools (4 months)
- Implementing data analysis tools: With SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), customers can perform multidimensional analysis and exploit data from multiple perspectives.
- Reporting and data visualization: Custom reports are developed on SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI, providing an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.
- Backend API development: Using ASP.NET Core and C#, IMT’s engineering team has built a powerful backend API system, helping to retrieve data quickly and securely.
- Integration and security: The system adheres to strict security standards, with access control mechanisms, data encryption, and tight system monitoring.

TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

IMT Solutions not only completes the system but also provides detailed instructions, helping users to easily access and operate it. In addition, there are in-depth training sessions for on-site staff, especially in using BI tools and creating custom reports. At the same time, regular maintenance and technical support ensure the system operates stably and is ready for future expansion.
