The 2015 Vietnam IT Outsourcing Companies of Excellence Award honored 33 country's top IT outsourcing companies on October 15, 2015 during the VNITO conference. The award jury comprised representatives from KPMG Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City High Technology Association, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, and the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association.
This is the first time in Vietnam, there is an award just for the ITO and BPO industry, which has been enjoying a high growth rate in the past 15 years and has been one of the high-tech export sectors offering high value addition.
The award recognises and honours IT software enterprises those achieved outstanding business results and significant development in the field of IT Outsourcing / Offshoring (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
The VNITO Companies of Excellence is expected to be a valuable credential for the winners to promote sales and access potential partners and markets, and to create a national brand for Vietnam's IT outsourcing industry.
A total of 33 prizes were awarded in the categories of Top 10 IT Outsourcing Enterprises, Leading IT Outsourcing Enterprises (14 winners) and Emerging IT Outsourcing Enterprises (09 winners).
Altogether the winners achieved a revenue of VND5.56 trillions (US$244.4 millions) and employed 15,000 people last year. The award was announced as one of the key activity of the VNITO conference, which attracted more than 400 local and international business leaders, government representatives, entrepreneurs, and media and education representatives, with about 100 potential international participants from Vietnam's key outsourcing markets such as the USA, Japan, Europe, Canada, Australia, Korea, India, and Singapore.
During the conference, besides the awards, the orgazining team also launched the first-time ever a Vietnamese ITO / BPO Business Directory at www.vietnamitodirectory.com. The directory currently has over 200 ITO and BPO enterprises in its database and is growing very quickly.
