Ho Chi Minh city, 03 Dec 2013. The CSR workshop took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday to help Vietnamese businesses turn social responsibility to strategic advantage. The event was organized by Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam and IFU

The workshop had representatives from the Danish Embassy, Word Bank, IFU, Baker & McKenzie Law and the Danish and Vietnamese businesses. During the event, Danish Ambassador John Nielsen declared the 'Red Carpet' program to quickly grant visas to Vietnamese businesses and organizations which are business partners in Denmark.

The workshop topics covered human resource engagement to create a sustainable competitive advantage, anti-corruption in private sector, how businesses should work together on CSR and how businesses could use CSR to create new business opportunities.

At the end of the event, IMT president An Mai, representing the participants, expressed the sincere thanks to the Embassy to organize this workshop with useful topics on how to turn CSR to the strategic advantage and how to make profit through leadership and human resource development. An also highly valued the workshop format which creates opportunities for enterprises to learn the best practices from each other.

Understanding that CSR is a never-ending-journey, we will apply what we have learnt from the workshop this year and look forward to the next year event.
