In this role, the candidate will report to the Development Manager. He/She will have the following missions:

  • Perform system analysis, design, development and implementation of enterprise software and scalable solutions in a high transaction environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Customers, Upper Management, Development Managers, Architecture, QA, Operations and other Software Developers in producing quality software products utilizing best practice methodology and technology.
  • Use industry best practices to implement challenging and new software and provide support to existing applications.
  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Technically manage projects from conception to delivery.
  • Participate in tool selection and design decisions.
  • Collaborate with different development teams located at international locations.
  • Create professional technical specifications and documents.
  • Work in a team of software engineers and data specialists.
  • Introduce software and data improvements, allowing the company to outperform competitors.
  • Continuously suggests improvements and optimizations of processes, tools and solutions.

Job requirements:

Technical:

     Must have:

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Experience working in a team of software engineers and data specialists.
  • Proven ability to technically manage projects from conception to delivery.
  • Participate in tool selection and design decisions.
  • Collaboration with different development teams located at international locations.
  • Ability to create professional technical specification and documents.
  • Experience in various SDLC agile and lean methodologies like Scrum and XP.
  • Introduce software and data improvements, allowing the company to outperform competitors.
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge on Java Standard edition and Java EE.
  • Good understanding of Design patterns.
  • SQL and ORM knowledge
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Experience with version control tools.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, tools and libraries (JUnit).

      Good to have:

  • Experience with Ant & Maven.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Experience with Continuous integration servers (Jenkins or others).
  • Knowledge on Web services based on CXF, JAXB and REST.
  • NoSQL Database knowledge.
